Beaufort Music Scene
As you have been reading along from our many posts on all the offerings in the Town of Beaufort, NC it is no surprise that Beaufort also has a music scene to boot, too!
Every year since 1988, Beaufort Music Festival has been held in the month of May as a completely FREE event. The organization works hard to raise money, with the help of volunteers, through donation events and sponsorships to make this fun event available to everyone and of all ages. Not only does this organization want to provide live music to locals and tourists alike but any extra funds leftover is given back into the community, specifically for the children of the community. This volunteer run event has had great local lineups in the past such as the Avett Brothers, Chatham County Line, Mandolin Orange and many, many others!
According to their website, The Beaufort Music Festival is gearing up to have their full-blown event NEXT year in 2022. For this May, the BMF is throwing a fundraising event May 15th, 2021 featuring 3 bands and an outdoor, drive-in movie located on Gallant’s Channel.
